Mukhallat Almas opens with a lilting bouquet of orchid, rose, neroli, and what I am sensing as either mimosa or acacia. It is sweet and uplifting to my winter-worn spirits. Underneath this beautiful accord simmers a deep base of amber, sandalwood, musk, with styrax and oudh adding a "dark" facet. If I were to imagine a colour attached to this perfume, it would not be silver-grey; instead, it would be deep magenta. Absolutely gorgeous!
