Bakhoor is the traditional Arabian incense bar — typically a wood chip or compressed cake soaked in fragrant oils, then burned on charcoal to fill a room with rich, layered scent. In the Khaleeji home, lighting bakhoor is a daily ritual: in the morning, before guests arrive, and on Fridays and special occasions. Each bakhoor blend has its own scent signature, built around oud, amber, musk, sandalwood, rose, and saffron.
